premières mesures de l'Appassionata de Beethoven ont
d'emblée laissé apparaître un métier
consommé. Des plans magnifiquement disposés, un
élan irréprochable, un phrasé très
souple...De la sonate en si mineur de Liszt, ce monobloc de
génie, l'artiste maîtrisa toutes les facettes avec une
aisance confondante. C'est avec ce monument que se terminait ce

LISZT Le festival Franz Liszt a débuté jeudi soir par un
récital de tres haute qualité, offert par la pianiste
lituanienne Mûza Rubackyté. Pour le premier récital
de cette édition du Festival de Liszt, qui a eu lieu à
Munster, la remarquable pianiste Mûza Rubackyté a
profondément bouleversé l'auditoir. WIGMORE HALL Consistently
compelling, and both musically and technically distinguished, this was
some of the most distinguished Beethoven playing I have heard for a
long time. Rubackyté was equally probing in Schumann's Carnaval,
expressing the gamut of scenarios from a nervous and urgently hushed
ASCH-SCHA, subtitled Dancing Letters, to a foreboding but strongly
swinging March of the Davidsbündler. Of the encores, Liszt's Sixth
Hungarian Rhapsody was unstinting in its technical power and striking
for its sense of dramatic thread. Pianist of the distinction of
Brendel, Cherkassky, Bolet, Perlemuter, and John Lill have graced our
platform over the past thirty years, but under Mûza
Rubackyté's spell, as the last ethereal notes of the Liszt
Sonata ebbed into the darkness of the night, a transfixed audience rose
as one.. We marvelled that so fragile and beautiful a frame could
harbour and control such powerful emotions. Never in out experience as
a music society has there been such a profoundly unanimous reaction.. MILL HILL CONCERT SERIES "Her

muselike musician, but as simply one of the greatest Liszt players
alive. Mûza Rubackyté projects the magic, the diablerie,
the transcending superhuman expressiveness those technical inventions

It is only afterwards, considering the ravishing beauty of the
achievement, that one realises the supreme technical excellence. Cette disciple de J.Flier et de

partitions pyrotechniques. Plus encore que par sa virtuosité
(Ronde des lutins), on est frappé par son assimilation du
langage lisztien à la disposition duquel elle met la
fluidité de son jeu (un sospiro), et l'élégance de
son toucher (murmure de la fôret, la Campanella). Dans les
études d'après Paganini, elle triomphe les
difficultés dont Liszt a truffé ces pages aux climats

Mûza Rubackyté is an accomplished artiste who has
something important to say about the music she plays which surely lead
her name becoming far better known in very near future. The defining
point of Mûza Rubackyté’s Huston concert was her reading
of Beethoven’s Appassionata Sonata. It was a rare case when refined
musical tastes, an incisive understanding of musical form, and fully
developped technique merged almost perfectly. The WIGMORE HALL was alive with
virility of her performance. A rare treat of a rare talent. Such musicality : Almost the
entire program had some link with Faust legend, with spirits and
demons, and emerged in some breath-taking playing which had the

artist of phenomenal powers who must be counted among the most gifted
pianists of her generation...Turning up amid the plethora of mediocre
recitals by young hopefuls attempting to recreate The Legend,
Rubackyté's recent LISZT program revealed the astounding and
"consistent combination of power and shimmer, intensity and radiance,
élan, and urbanity" comprising her unique sound -a sort of
prismatically tinted ecstasy- which, with a present issues, suggests
that she may be a Scriabin interpreter of the first order.

accomplished virtuoso who makes no show of virtuosity. Even in the
formidable Erlkönig, bravura is entirely subordinated to musical
gesture, with exciting and chilling results. No that she lacks
intensity. In the transcription of Die junge Nonne and Gretchen am

luminosite du contrepoint. son concerto n° 5 "l'empereur" fut
beethovenien de la cadence initiale a la phenomenale virtuosite des
oppositions rythmiques du rondo final. mûza rubackyté fut
imperiale jusque dans son rappel avec le second mouvement du "concerto
